What's happening

Following our maintenance this weekend (14 August 2021), we will be migrating cp2.intelli.host to new SSD storage this coming Saturday (21 August 2021). The migration will require a small window period in which the server will be shutdown to allow for the server snapshot to be merged with the new storage after which we'll boot up the server. We do not envision extended downtime for this maintenance window but clients will experience some downtime during the day with possible degraded service whilst the server is booted and operational.

What's happening

We will be performing maintenance and hardware upgrades to various servers at our Samrand Datacentre. During this maintenance window we will be performing the following upgrades:

  • Installation of new network adapters in our hypervisor that runs the rcp2.intelli.host server - This will unfortunately mean that there will be a minimum of 1 hour downtime during this process.
  • Upgrades to some hypervisors for additional SSD storage.
  • Updates and restarts of all cPanel servers. This will result in downtime and service degradation during reboots of these servers.

As always, our team will work at the best of our abilities to ensure minimal service impact to all clients

What's happening

We need to perform software upgrades to our Redstor backup servers which will result in some downtime of the Redstor backup services during upgrades and server restarts. Should your backup client attempt to backup during this period, it may timeout and result in a backup failure, which should automatically start again on the next schedule. We do not foresee any extended downtime windows.

SpamCops RBL flagging incoming mails as junkmail

Incoming emails flagged as spam

All cPanel Servers

What's happening

We have identified a bug in which our incoming mailserver security system has incorrectly flagged incoming mails to mailboxes as junkmail, leading to most emails sent to customer mailboxes on Sunday, 31 January 2021 between 12:00PM to 17:35PM to be rejected as spam. We have worked with the cPanel team who informed us of a global outage of one of the primary RBL security systems, SpamCops, which was migrating their services to a new servers today and this led to all mails being sent to our servers (and all servers globally) to be flagged as spam. Our team has disabled the SpamCops RBL system from our exim mailservers and this has resolved this issue and mails from external providers will now relay again.

Unfortunately, any mails sent to your mailboxes during this window period would likely have been rejected with a 550 Junkmail detected and you are advised that if you were waiting for any emails during this period to request from the sender to resend the mails to your mailbox. Senders would have also received a bounceback, indicating that their mails to you was not delivered.

What's happening

Due to our recent unforeseen outage at our Samrand datacentre in November, we migrating our networking equipment that will better assist with future performance growth and provide some added features. Our team will install the new switches this coming Saturday at our Samrand datacentre along with final maintenance for 2020.

As we will be replacing core networking equipment, there will be some downtime while the devices are migrated to the new networking equipment, however, no servers will require a reboot thus we don't envision extended downtime. Our team will however work towards ensuring the least amount of downtime to ensure service is restored as fast as possible.

We thank our datacentre technical team from Summit Networks who looked after our network at the datacentre and keeping us connected through this troublesome year.
